I arrived in Costa Rica in 1992 and began eating almost immediately.

Since 1995, I have been the author of Frommer’s Costa Rica, and subsequently Costa Rica for Dummies and Costa Rica Day By Day. All of this has had me traveling around the country near constantly, and eating all along the way.

As a native New Yorker, the critic in my comes naturally.

This blog is meant to complement and contemporize my upcoming ebook Costa Rica Eats: A Restaurant Guide.
